Technical Advisor – Virtual US

Job Description:

The Technical Advisor (TA) is the Customer’s Trusted Advisor throughout the life-cycle of INFINIDAT products at customer sites. In this role, you will partner with assigned INFINIDAT Customers to introduce our storage system into their environment and help streamline their storage operations.   You will also serve as a strong internal advocate for the customer with other INFINIDAT teams for successful customer deployment.

Responsibilities:

  • Increase customer productivity
    • Support and guide the customer through the implementation of new system into his environment
    • Provide a single focal point for all support related issues and/or work as liaison for all the customer’s needs if interacting with multiple people to get the right answer
  • Pro-active customer assistance
    • Through enhanced pro-active system monitoring, the TA will inform the customer of any pro-active maintenance required on the systems
    • Moderate periodic status calls for alerting of upcoming code releases, patches, and other software recommendations.
  • Become the customer’s advocate within INFINIDAT
    • The TA represents the customer’s requirements, present and future and escalates to the appropriate organizations within INFINIDAT
    • Through the TA’s feedback, INFINIDAT considers the development of new features, functions and support protocols

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Project Management experience
  • Sensitivity and tolerance when dealing with customers
  • Interpersonal skills and positive communication with both customers and other employees
  • A capability to operate in an ever-changing dynamic working environment
  • Creating a strategic view when evaluating technological solutions
  • Understanding of central NAS and SAN storage systems
  • Understanding of Ethernet and FC SAN networks
  • Good understanding of open system world compute platforms – mainly Windows and Linux
  • Good understanding of VMware and Hyper V virtual environments
  • Good understanding of DRP and backup environments
  • Familiarity with DB and application environments, including Oracle, SAP, Microsoft SQL, Exchange
  • Fluent English language skills (both oral and written)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Private, Hybrid and Public Cloud Architecture
  • Expertise in Enterprise Back-up and Recovery Solutions
  • IT Certifications (VCP, CCNA, MCSE)
  • ITIL Certification
  • PMP Certification
  • Intermediate level use of Microsoft Office products
  • Travel requirement 30-40%
