HW Automation Technical Lead

Job Description:

The IVT (Integration, Verification, Test) team is in charge of providing technical support to our integration sites. The main goal of the team is to provide, design and implement hardware integration solutions (tests, infrastructure, methodologies) for INFINIDAT’s leading-edge storage product – InfiniBox, with high quality and reliability without compromise.

As part of our IVT team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting complex issues (hardware and software). You will also take an active role in continuously improving our products by interacting directly with our developers, PMs, QA engineers, Hardware teams and IT.

We are looking for an extremely talented technical lead for this team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all stages of deploying infrastructure enhancements and development processes
  • Act as a technical lead, including responsibility for mentoring the team, designing and reviewing complex code
  • Take an active role in hardware product architecture and design decisions
  • Develop complex test scenarios and tools using our massive infrastructure in Python
  • Investigate and solve hard-to-find problems such as race conditions, hardware failures, delicate timing issues and problems happening only at large scales
  • Run manual and automation tools for testing the HW and SW integration of the product

Required Skills & Experience:

  • At least 2 years of leading software development/testing teams
  • At least 3 years working experience with Python
  • Proven experience in Linux/Unix environment
  • Proven experience in writing bash scripts
  • Proven experience with complex large-scale systems
  • Committed, dependable, and dedicated
  • Excellent system diagnostic, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leading skills
  • Excellent communication skills and team spirit
  • Fast learner and independent
  • English at a high level - speaking, writing, reading

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in protocols (SAN/NAS, Fiber Channel, SCSI, CIFS/SMB, NFS)
  • Experience with servers and/or storage industries
  • Engineering degree or equivalent / army training
  • Experience with MS Windows and/or VMWare environments
  • Practical knowledge of computer networking
